Scottish Wildlife Trust Norway - 'Fjords, fells and folk'

05 February 2020

Starts: 19:30

Waterside Hotel  Inverness    7.30

Norway and Scotland are often linked in discussions of politics, environment and economy. But what’s the reality of Scotland’s beautiful northern neighbour? Kenny Taylor and Vanessa Halhead have decades of experience to share of travel, work, friendships, culture and nature in Norway.

Their recent exploration of the mighty Sognefjord and its nearby glaciers, fells, farms and forests will be a spectacular backdrop, with thoughts on many different aspects of life in the heart of fjord country to the fore.

Using images, words and audio, this will be a journey through landscapes, wildlife, art and ideas; about how Norway and Scotland are linked – and separated – in how land and nature are viewed and used and how people value their home place.
